Unfortunately, we have had to deal with an enormous wave of spam on Flusiboard in recent days and weeks. Apparently, thousands of spambots were able to bypass the security measures in the registration form, resulting in around 120,000 spam units. In recent days, we have had to work hard to delete these as cleanly as possible and block the spam accounts.
Due to the enormous amount of data, it was impossible to do this manually, spam unit by spam unit and spam account by spam account. Therefore, we filtered and deleted or blocked a lot based on patterns. For this reason, the following collateral damage may have occurred:
- Individual content may have been deleted incorrectly.
- Accounts may have been blocked incorrectly

New registrations currently disabled
In addition, another drastic step was necessary:
Registration on Flusiboard is currently disabled
This was absolutely necessary to break the wave. We are currently still unsure what exactly allowed thousands of spam bots to get through. To avoid another problematic situation, the registration function will remain disabled until we have found and closed the loophole.
