    Hardware , CPU = AMD Ryzen 5 3600 , Grafik = Sapphire Radeon RX 5500 XT Pulse, 8GB GDDR6 , PCIe 4.0

Sound = Onboard, BS = Windows 11 Pro

    Hardware , CPU = AMD Ryzen 5 3600 , Grafik = Sapphire Radeon RX 5500 XT Pulse, 8GB GDDR6 , PCIe 4.0

    Arbeitsspeicher = 4x 8 GB DDR 4 . Mainboard = Asus Prime B 550 M-A

Fantastisch.

At 26:14 or so of the Oshkosh video replay, and I paraphrase Austin: "We're going to be at [FS Expo] in a couple of months and we're going to show you what we've been doing and how you can get it." The big LR presentation is on Saturday, September 25. Austin says there will be info about branding, cost and he want's to have a beta available at that time. But we'll see.

And wrt to seasons - since its apparently too hard to see it in the video - there will be seasons, all over the globe, on pretty much everything. These change MORE than just textures (you'll see there are no leaves on decidious trees in winter) and they are controlled by local climate data. So high up on the mountain seasons are different than down in the valley just a few miles away, Alaska is very different than Florida and all that.

    viele Grüße

    Ein neuer Blog-Beitrag zur Vegetation:
    https://developer.x-plane.com/2021/08/next-g…ees-and-opengl/

Ich habe mal einige interessante Punkte herausgegriffen.

    - Die Animation der Bäume reagiert auf Windparameter; "The vegetation animations are based on the current wind conditions"

    - "but the key take away here is that if you already have custom forests, they will continue to work." ( @FlyAgi 's Vegetation wird also weiterhin funktionieren;))

    - "it’s also possible to force old scenery with custom .for files to use the new 3D trees using a custom library.txt file."

    - Zur performance: "While it’s still too early to give you anything in terms of hardware requirements, I can say that the system is definitely built to be able to cope with a lot of trees. This is possible because the new vegetation engine is designed to use very little CPU processing, and instead moves the majority of the work to the GPU"

    - Billboard trees werden mit 3D trees gemixt: "This way we can fill the near view with maybe a few hundred or so complex 3D trees, and then fade over to the cheap billboard to fill the rest of the scene."

    - Die schlechte Nachricht: Die Next Generation Features werden nicht in OpenGL funktionieren "Sadly, there is no next generation future for OpenGL, as it just isn’t possible to support it."

"So if you have plugins using OpenGL that work with X-Plane 11.55 under Vulkan or Metal, it should continue to work in the next generation world as well."

    Gruß,
    Patrick
