Tonight, the TorqueSim BN-2 Islander has been released for X-Plane 11. It is available for US $39.95 here at X-Aviation. Especially remarkable is the fact that the add-on was announced just over a month ago.
The developer promises a very detailed replica of this very special aircraft including 4k PBR textures. In terms of systems, the add-on includes a completely custom-built electrical system with simulated circuit breakers, buses, generators and the battery as well as an FMOD sound package and much more.
With the announcement of the release at the beginning of this week, a surprise arrived on Wednesday. Nimbus Simulation Studios announced here on their Facebook page that they are also working on a BN-2 Islander. With the release of a Bell UH-1, this studio has already gained experience with X-Plane 11 aircraft in the past. And since the Facebook post says that their Islander will also be coming soon, the release should not be too far in the future. So let's see what will happen.
